Option Matrix HR Philosophy

We are inspired by these famous words of Albert Einstein. Luck is critical to success. The following approach can be used to discover your good luck:

• What you think, you become
• Perspiration is useless without inspiration.
• Think deeply often and discover what you really want out of life.
• Do only what you enjoy and which gives you happiness.
• Define your mission around excellence in what you love to do / what makes you happy.
• Discovering the mission is rarely a simple process and is often preceded by struggle.
• Expect to fail several times before you achieve the desired outcome and learn from mistakes.
• If your chosen mission makes you happy, gets you admiration, makes you stand out like a leader and makes you wealthy, then it is probably a right choice
• If significant effort does not yield any substantial fruit, you may need to rethink your mission.
• Depending on how lucky you are, it may take several iterations before you discover your true mission.
• You are very lucky if you are able to find your true mission before you are 40 years old.
• You are foolish if you fail several times and stop trying / experimenting new ideas.
• When you do find your true mission you will automatically know because work will cease to feel like a burden and luck will favor you very often – It is like finding true love.
• Expect to experience significant adversity before significant success comes your way.
• A mission is a goal for which you are willing to do anything and go to any extent to succeed.
• If you have found your true mission and pursue it with all your single minded energy, your success will be automatic, significant and certain. The entire universe conspires to make you successful.
• Despite your best efforts, the chance of you discovering your true mission in life is probably less than 20% - Are you the blessed one? Are you willing to try?

Option Matrix has derived the following seven policies from the above principles:

• The most important activity is to recruit the right people and after that it is just luck.
• The role of the company is only to maintain its focus, give clarity of role, provide quarterly feedback and nurture an acceptable work environment.
• We do not try to advice or change people.
• We encourage employees to focus on what they do best and most admirably.
• We are happy to admire employees for what they are good at but will hand pick the best and leave the rest.
• People who do not emerge as winners in Option Matrix are in wrong company and should leave Option Matrix after their contract to join the right company.
• We have no sympathy for losers, whatever the reason or the problem.
