Synopsis - PHP is a server-side scripting language for creating dynamic Web pages. PHP programming syntax is very similar to that of Perl. Because of its well-designed design, PHP practically makes it easy for anyone to learn. . It is much easier compared to Perl or ASP Code. Unlike other scripting languages, PHP supports the most common databases like Oracle, Sybase and MySQL.
The creators of PHP made it especially for the web. This means it is fine tuned to make powerful and dynamic websites. There are features like the mail function which allows you to send e-mail directly from your website. The list of functions available in PHP is almost endless, this basically means that the power of PHP is amazing, which therefore is nothing but positive for your website.
It is also so powerful that even some of the PHP experts feel they have not tapped entire PHP power yet. Because it was made for the web it can quickly work together with databases, send e-mail's directly from your website and perform some very powerful actions to create immense things like shopping carts and e-commerce store
Solution Frame work -
Our experienced PHP developers create efficient and scalable web applications to automate tasks, collect user data and transform static web sites into dynamic sales and marketing machines. .PHP can be used for a variety of applications including , but not limited to:
- Email Newsletters
- Content Management
- Chat Boards and Forums
- Members Areas
- Email Auto responders
- User Polls
- Visitor Tracking
Using PHP allows our programmers to take advantage of open source code, saving time and money. Many of our custom software solutions use pre-existing code modules that are assembled to meet the custom needs of our clients. Because PHP is open source, many pre-existing software packages can be modified to client specifications. In addition to creating custom PHP sites, we also offer customized implementation services for third-party programs, such as:
- CMS: Mambo, eZ Publish, e107, TikiWiki, Exponent, dotProject, Drupal, XOOPS, Typo3, Caravel or other
- E-Commerce: osCommerce, Zen Cart, CREloaded or other
- Forums: phpBB, PunBB, Phorum, Invision Power Board, v Bulletin or other
- Any third-party PHP-based software - forums, e-learning, portals, blogs etc.
Frontier of Possibilities :
Option Matrix has used the LAMP (Linux-Apache-MYSQL-PHP) architecture to build the following types of solutions for our clients across various industries:
- E-Commerce
- Content Management
- HR Intranet
- Functional Automation & Integration
- Supply Chain Management
- Customer Relationship Management
- Community Portal
- Social Networking
Overview - At Option Matrix Smarty (PHP Template Engine) & PEAR (PHP Extensions & Application Repository)
are used as a common methodology for our PHP projects. Open Source PHP Application architecture is centralized for easy manageability. Application will be optimized for Internet Explorer 6+ but HTML 4 compliance will be preserved to ensure cross browser compatibility with other common browsers like Firefox, Safari and Netscape Navigator.
Cross browser compatibility is largely ensured through use of XHTML 1.0 and HTML 4 compliance. All application testing will be done in Firefox which has more restrictive implementation of HTML / JavaScript and this ensures that it runs well in IE browsers too. Any cross browser issues will be debugged if they arise during module testing. Optimistic locking will be used in database operations to improve concurrent user performance. Extensive use of stored procedures will ease network traffic and database performance. The project developed in the LAMP environment. The acronym LAMP refers to a solution stack of software programs, commonly open source programs, used together to run dynamic Web sites or servers. The original expansion is as follows: Linux, referring to the operating system; Apache, the Web server; MySQL, the database management system (or database server); PHP, the programming language. Linux utilizes the latest stable kernel version. The underlying ext3 file system is a well-proven technology for both rapid recovery and protecting the integrity of the data on the server. Apache is developed and maintained by an open community of developers under the auspices of the Apache Software Foundation.
MySQL database, another robust open source tool that has revolutionized the way web pages, graphics, tables, and data sets of all sorts are served up on the web. Web-based databases in general, and MySQL in particular, have made it possible to build and present fully dynamic websites, capable of presenting content in real time. They have also helped to further the goal of separating content from formatting, speeding the load time of sites while making them far more manageable than in the past. PHP has, in just a few short years, become one of the predominant scripting languages on the web. With a relatively easy syntax and open source licensing, webmasters and developers around the world have migrated to PHP from the more difficult and syntactically challenging scripting languages like Perl. Optimistic locking is used in database operations to improve concurrent user performance. Extensive use of stored procedures will ease network traffic and database performance.
